Organisers Comments

We couldn’t have hoped for a better day to hold the event and I was glad to see so many people (147 in total) taking part, and more importantly enjoying themselves in the muddier parts of Haigh Country Park. The strong winds from a fortnight before the event had left over 100 trees blown down but fortunately the only affected course was the Orange one. Many thanks to Haigh Country Park and the Woodland Trust for letting us use their land for the event.

A big thank you too, to all club members that were able to help out. Your time and hard work went into making the event such a success, with the experienced members keeping me on the right track and ensuring that the registration, start, finish and results teams ran smoothly. Special thanks and congratulations to Edward for planning some excellent courses (from the feedback that I got), and to Bill for coming in at the last minute to control the event and provide us with valuable advice about the courses.
